About Us

The mission of the St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco (SVDP-SF) is to offer hope and service on a person-to-person basis, working to break the cycles of homelessness and domestic violence. Founded in 1860, SVDP-SF serves the most vulnerable in our society, providing a safety net for people who are unhoused, and living in precarious and dangerous situations; facing addiction and mental health challenges; and / or fleeing domestic violence. 

The San Francisco Particular Council of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is a 501c3, nonprofit organization. Our Federal Tax ID is 94-157017.
